American Safety and Health Institute Basic Life Support Course is designed for individuals in the healthcare or professional rescuer field that are required to have professional-level basic life support training. Certification is valid for 2 years from course completion date.
Students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. BLS covers life-saving skills for adults, children, and infants.
There is a written and a skill evaluation for successful completetion of the course.
Individuals in the healthcare or professional rescuer field that are required to have professional-level basic life support training.
Upon successful completion of the course, an ASHI Basic Life Support certification card will be issued. The card will contain an access code for a digital book and app on your mobile devices.
