AHA BLS Instructor – Monday, December 14, 2026
December 14 @ 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
This course by the American Heart Association (AHA) is a Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor course designed to allow the participant to teach all courses in the AHA BLS curriculum. This course includes the AHA BLS Instructor manual and 2-year AHA BLS Instructor certification.
The following are the steps required to become an AHA BLS Instructor:
- Have a valid BLS Provider card. If you do not, you can get certified through LifeForce USA!
- Register for the AHA BLS Instructor course. Once registered, you will get sent your pre-course materials – the AHA BLS Instructor Manual (digital version) and the AHA BLS Instructor Essentials & Core.
- Complete the AHA BLS Instructor Essentials & Core. The online course is approximately 2.5 hours long; it must be completed prior to the Instructor class in order to participate.
- Attend Instructor course. The in-person training is an 8-hour course held at our Training Center. The training will begin with your BLS skills being pre-monitored, and completion of the AHA BLS Provider written exam. You must be proficient in your BLS Provider skills for your pre-monitoring, so please refresh yourself on your skills prior to the Instructor training.
- Be Post-Monitored. Once you’ve completed the in-person Instructor course, contact our office to schedule a LifeForce USA BLS Provider course to attend, and be monitored teaching the Provider course by our Training Center Faculty. You have six months from the Instructor course date to successfully complete this post-monitoring.
