For all LifeForce USA Instructors:
If you need to renew your AHA BLS Instructor certification, you can call our office at (732) 919-6070 to arrange a renewal date; OR Click here to view available BLS Provider courses that you can attend to complete your renewal. (** ALL INSTRUCTORS WHO ARE RENEWING MUST ARRIVE 1 HOUR PRIOR TO THE START OF THE PROVIDER COURSE**) If these courses do not fit into your schedule, please call me for alternative dates and locations. To renew, you need to meet the following requirements:
Prior to Renewing:
Make sure that you have taught, either as the Lead or Assisting Instructor, 4 courses over the past 2 years. If you have taught for other agencies where the paperwork was turned into another training center, please provide us with either the rosters from those courses, or the “Instructor/TCF Teaching Activity Notice to Primary TC” form. This form must be completed by the Training Center (TC) that holds those records.
During the renewal date:
You will be tested or evaluated on 3 things:
- Your BLS skills
- Passing BLS Provider written exam with an 84% or better
- Evaluated teaching in the CPR course on said date. Be prepared to lecture on any CPR topic, and work within the groups of students when testing of skills.
The cost of the renewal process is $75.00. You will receive a new AHA BLS Instructor card and a new AHA BLS Provider card, when you successfully complete all 3 aspects.
