DESCRIPTION:AHA BLS Provider – \n\n\n\nThis course by the American Heart Association is a CPR certification course designed for those with a “duty to act\,”  including Doctors\, Nurses\, Paramedics\, EMT’s Police\, Fire and Lifeguards.  This course includes a textbook and 2-year AHA BLS Provider certification. \n\n\n\nAbout the Course:\n\n\n\nBLS from AHA offers the advantages of: ~ Content representing the latest resuscitation science for improved patientoutcomes ~ Realistic scenarios\, simulations\, and animations depicting rescuers\, teams\, and patients ~ Course andcontent flexibility for AHA Instructors and students\, including adaptability to local protocols. \n\n\n\nFeatures\n\n\n\n\nCourse uses learning stations for practice of essential skills simulated clinical scenarios that encourage Active participation\n\n\n\nHands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency\n\n\n\nClassroom-based works well for learners who prefer group interaction and instructor feedback while learning skills\n\n\n\n\nCourse Content\n\n\n\n\nNew science and education from the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update forCPR and ECC\n\n\n\nThe components of high-quality CPR for adults\, children\, and infants\n\n\n\nThe AHA Chain of Survival for pre-hospital and in-facility providers\n\n\n\nImportant early use of an AED\n\n\n\nEffective ventilations using a barrier device\n\n\n\nImportance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance asan effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR\n\n\n\nRelief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants\n\n\n\n\nSafety Protocols\n\n\n\nDue to the recommendations from the CDC and State of NJ\, wearing a mask is now optional.  To provide a safe environment\, if you are not feeling well\, have any signs or symptoms of a COVID-19\, have a fever\, or other respiratory issues\, you will not be allowed to attend the skill session\, and will be rescheduled to the next available date that fits your schedule.  If you have a temperature of 100.4 or higher\, you will not be allowed into the training room and not allowed to take the course for that day\, and will be rescheduled.
