DESCRIPTION:AHA BLS Instructor – \n\n\n\nThis course by the American Heart Association (AHA) is a Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor course designed to allow the participant to teach all courses in the AHA BLS curriculum.  This course includes the AHA BLS Instructor manual and 2-year AHA BLS Instructor certification.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe following are courses an AHA BLS Instructor is eligible to teach: \n\n\n\n\nBLS Provider\n\n\n\nHeartsaver CPR AED\n\n\n\nHeartsaver First Aid\n\n\n\nCPR for Family & Friends\n\n\n\nHeartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens\n\n\n\n\nThere are 4 steps to completing the AHA BLS Instructor course: \n\n\n\n\nHave your BLS skills pre-monitored and successfully complete the AHA BLS Provider written exam.  This step will be completed at the beginning of the instructor course\, and should take approximately 30 minutes.  \n\n\n\nComplete the AHA BLS Essentials online course.  This course is approximately 2.5 hours long\, and must be completed prior to the instructor course.  You will receive your online registration information for this course\, when you register and pay for the course.  If you are from a department or company\, we will invoice that organization if desired. \n\n\n\nSuccessfully complete the instructor-led BLS Instructor course.  This will be one 8-hour day.\n\n\n\nSuccessfully be monitored teaching in a BLS Provider course by a LifeForce USA Training Center Faculty. You can schedule this last step\, once the first three steps have been completed.
